Civica European Project Officer W - M H/F
The European Project Officer will assist the Executive Director, the Project Manager and the Academic Affairs Manager in the implementation of strategic orientations and the monitoring of management and academic activities. Based in Paris at Sciences Po (leading institution), the CIVICA European Project Officer will report to the CIVICA Executive Director.
Main responsibilities :
Development and operational management of the CIVICA alliance : 50%
Within the CIVICA Secretariat, under the supervision of the Executive Director and the Project Manager, the Project Officer will contribute to the development of CIVICA and will carry tasks related to the operational management of the project for the Coordinator :
Support for the implementation of WP1 Governance and Management (e.g. CIVICA long-term sustainability, international and partnership strategy, CIVICA Environmental Sustainability Board). This involves background research, coordination and preparation of meetings and documents ;
Support in project monitoring as set in the Grant Agreement. Participation in the coordination and drafting of the reports to BE submitted to the Erasmus+ Executive Agency, and of proposals for EU calls for tenders according to opportunities and needs ;
Support for the drafting of CIVICA annual activity reports ;
Support for the monitoring and submission of deliverables and the execution of milestones, in liaison with the various partners, the Project Manager and the Academic Affairs Manager (continuous reporting) ;
Support in the preparation and monitoring of management and governance meetings (agenda, minutes, logistics) ;
Support for budget monitoring for the CIVICA Secretariat team ;
More broadly, involvement in CIVICA's strategic developments decided by the governing bodies.
Coordination of CIVICA activities : 50%
Under the supervision of the Academic Affairs Manager and the Project Manager, the Project Officer will carry tasks related to the operational and transversal support for project activities.
Coordination of logistical and administrative aspects of the CIVICA for Ukraine initiative ;
Support for monitoring the CIVICA Staff Mobility Scheme ;
Operational support for pedagogical, student and outreach activities, in liaison with WP leaders, as part of the CIVICA Secretariat's monitoring and coordination mission.
Graduate university degree, possibly from one of CIVICA's members (International or European Affairs, Public Affairs)
2 to 4 years of previous work experience recommended
Position highly polyvalent : ability to collaborate with different partners and stakeholders
Excellent writing skills : ability to draft official reports in English is a mandatory requirement
Experience in managing and/or developing multi-partner EU projects
Fluency in English - written and spoken (and possibly in French). Fluency in additional languages from countries where CIVICA operates is an asset
Combination of diplomatic skills and entrepreneurial spirit
Rigorous and excellent communication, coordination and organisational skills; capacity to work under time constraints
Flexibility and availability for travel (in Europe)
