The Customer support department Spares Supply Chain is responsible for Spares forecast, procurement and distribution on a global scale to operators / airlines, MRO and aircraft manufacturers. The delivery performance of spare parts is a key success factor in our business and for our customers.
The position consists in leading a team of demand and supply planners accountable for best in class spares delivery performance with optimized inventory level for LG division.
Key Activities :
Responsible for S&OP activities on Spare for the division.
Management of a team of 7 persons of demand and supply planners, main role for the team :
Establish and validate a monthly demand plan :
- Develop statistical demand plan
- Work with program and commercial team to integrate market intelligence
- Share and validate demand plan through monthly ritual
- Monitor and Improve forecast accuracy
Manage Spare supply plan with internal Supply Sites within Safran
- Ensure Spare requirement are planned and cascaded to the supply sites
- Conduct monthly Spare supply review and weekly execution review with supply site to ensure
alignment of supply plan with demand plan and supply delivery performance
- Share customer priorities and escalation through an expediting process
- Identify and address bottlenecks between supply site and distribution warehouse
Optimize inventory level
- Define, Implement and maintain stock policy
- Minimize excess stock and manage potential inventory obsolescence
Monitor and Drive Supply Chain performance improvement :
- Analyze Spares delivery and Inventory performance
- Implement continuous improvement plan within customer support and across supply sites
- Lead the implementation of the Spare operational excellence project under deployment within W&B teams. Spare Supply Chain manager will BE accountable for the deployment demand
and supply planning processes at MRP II class A level in 2019
- Supply Chain Management, APICS Certification
- Demand planning and Forecasting
- SAP knowledge
- First successful experience in people management
- Ability to communicate and convince
